TOTO SLOW FOOD BCN

Yesterday I invited my b.f. for dinner at Toto.

We have been walking by the amazing looking restaurant a couple of times and every time we stopped and said: Next time we have some thing to celebrate, we should definitely come here.

So I decided to book a table for two to celebrate J´s Pre-B-day. In the booking they asked me if I had any special wishes, so I wrote that it was my b.f. birthday and that I was a celiac.

The day after I got a mail and a phone call from one of the two owners Ronit, she asked if I would like them to buy and prepare something special for me. Yes please, Pasta :)!

 

Toto is a slow food restaurant and they offer a Mediterranean menu with an Italian touch. The menu at Toto varies every day depending on the availability of the fruits and vegetables.

The restaurant is a old library and it is a  wonderful vintage and industrialist and very chic restaurant. They have huge glass chandeliers, mosaic pattern on the floor, high ceilings with mirrors and art on the ceiling. And at last but least Toto have a wonderful aromatic scented open kitchen, from where you can enjoy and smell all the delicious and fresh ingredients they use in their cooking.

The price is extremely cheap compared to the quality they serve, and the service was warm, friendly and accommodating. Everyone who works at the restaurant makes you feel special and very welcome.

Last word: Toto was 100% pure pleasure. And I must say that Toto is A must to go try if you are in Barcelona. You can go for a drink, for lunch and for dinner any day of the week for a true Barcelona experience where Catalan food cohabits Mediterranean and Italian cuisine.
