FOOD FOR YOUR SKIN

Milk-bath

I prefer everything in the homemade way and that includes also trying on different kinds of food for my skin. My theory is that if you can eat it then it can´t harm your skin either.

I try do do a facial treatment minimum 2 times a week and here you can see my list of eatable good things for your skin.

Cucumber is not only suitable for salads, but also to treat your skin. A couple of cold cucumber slices works refreshing on a few tired eyes. Or why not try a homemade facial mask of cucumber which prevents blackheads and pimples.

Oatmeal is naturally exfoliating. Porridge removes dead skin cells and other impurities, and makes your skin soft and smooth. Mix a small portion of oatmeal with hot water and then with roughing up the mixture.

Whipped egg whites can be used as a face mask to freshen up a dull skin. The egg whites may also be used as a hair treatment, where they give the hair a second gloss and strength.

Vinegar works easily firming and is also good for acne.

Kiwi is a great fruit for your skin as it is rich in vitamin C. Put a little filtered kiwi juice in your bath to keep your skin young or mix kiwi evening with a tablespoon of salt to a nice foot bath. Kiwi slices can also be used as a cheap and simple eye mask, and mashed kiwi can be used as peeling.

Honey is loved by beauty experts for its moisturizing properties. You can mix honey in some oatmeal for the ultimate face mask. You can also mix 0.5 ml. honey in warm water, add a few drops of olive oil and pour the mixture in a nice tub.

Avocado is a natural moisturizer. Mash an avocado and use the marsh as a face wash or face mask to hydrate the skin.

Milk is a very mild and gentle balm for all skin types but especially for sensitive skin (It is said that Cleopatra regularly bathed in milk to maintain her beauty).

Acid in lemon, lime and orange can be used to reduce the spots and freckles. Dab affected areas with freshly squeezed lemon juice or dilute the juice with water and use it as a face wash.

Sugar is like oatmeal, naturally exfoliating. Mix a few tablespoons of sugar with a few drops of warm water or oil, and you have a wonderful homemade scrub.

I hope you will enjoy it 🙂
