25 Dec

Merry Christmas.

I had an amazing Christmas Eve the 24th of December with J’s sweet family.

The weather wasn’t burning hot, lucky for me, I think we had around 26 degrees and a fresh breeze and the Christmas sky was clear and beautiful.

Our Christmas dinner was good and delicious, it was fried rice, prawn curry, wontons and “non-tons” (which is the gluten free version of wontons) for me, pork roast and lot’s of cold drinks and sweets.

After the dinner everybody was enjoying each others company, trying to survive the very full stomachs, some where dancing (J’s dad and uncle, so cute), the kids and J and his brother played football on the terrace outside, Oh hohoho I had a wonderful and joyful Christmas Eve (although a bit different from the Danish Christmas that I’m used too).

When do you normally give the Christmas presents? I think it’s up to each family to decide where and when. Yesterday the little cute kids had opened up there presents on the 24th before the dinner, because those little angels couldn’t wait until the 25th of december. In J’s family it’s normal to give the presents the 25th in the morning while people still are in their PJ’s. Therefore all of us adults got our presents this morning (25th) I didn’t expect to receive any presents, so I got a good surprise when I got this wonderful Guerlain perfume, sandals from a Melbourne brand called Nude and a cool Aussie Cookbook and plus the adventures that we got from J’s brother (Tall Ship sailing & Horse riding). In Denmark my family as Danish tradition give the presents after dinner and after dancing around the Christmas tree on the 24th of December.

Have a great and Merry Christmas everyone !

P.S. I forgot to mention that J’s family has a tradition that everybody should wear a Santa hat or something like that……. Therefore we should also wear the Santa hats for our Christmas lunch today. For our Christmas lunch we had a Seafood Paella and Homemade Gluten free almond and lemon muffins, yummm.

P.P.S. I will keep my Santa hat on the whole day, I like it 🙂

Ho Ho Ho Ho
