Swedish – Ylva Skarp

The other day I was going through some different blogs and I came across this amazing Swedish artist, calligrapher and designer named Ylva Skarp.

These are some of her phrases below….

– I’m drawn to the unexpected and unpredictable,
the non-perfect attracts me.

– I’ve always liked to combine surface and content.
Giving it a visual emotional charge.

With simple tools such as brush and pencil have she created a personal visual language that has taken the world (…and now me also) by storm.

I will definitely add one or two or three pieces of her art (maybe just the prints) to my wishlist, I think it will add a little extra artistic style to my home.
