Delicious and crunchy gluten-free Rice buns
Crunchy gluten-free Rice buns
Good evening 🙂
The other day J made Arroz a la cubana and we had some leftover Basmati rice, therefore I invented this recipe on how to make delicious and crunchy gluten-free rice buns.
The amount of ingredients is done in portions therefore you maybe need to use a little of the following ingredients.
Recipe for 10 buns:
4 dl. tepid water
50 grams of yeast.
5 dl. precooked Basmati rice (all kinds may be used)
1 dl. linseed
0.5 dl. sesame seeds
1 grated carrot
1-2 dl. gluten-free flour mixture
1 dl. rice flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
1-2 tsp. turmeric
Mix the ingredients until the dough is well assembled, it should still be slightly moist. Let the dough rise and cover for 30 min.
Shape the dough into balls using a spoon or use your hands to form little rice flour buns.
Brush with milk and sprinkle a little extra sesame on the buns.
Bake in oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
Normally, gluten free bread is a little heavy, but these are delicious and airy. Ummm…… I wonder if it is the rice that has done wonders in these buns?
However, they taste really good 🙂
